We are back again with PART 2 of our exploration on wine from California that isn't from Napa Valley (spoiler alert: there is a lot).
So, if it isn't "Napa Valley," what words should you be looking for when scoping out a great wine from California? Dont worry - we have you covered.
This part covers everything south of SLO... plus some stuff above it too. We dont really follow the rules which is why I haven't put "Part 1" and "Part 2" in the episode titles.

Suggested pairing: A Santa Lucia Highlands... if you can find it.... or figure out what it is...
Woop there it is! We are back with another exiciting episode of Dad Teaches Me About Wine.... minus the excitement.... because Madeline is half asleep sporatically throughout the episode.
This week the duo is trying to conquer California wines, only to realize that could never be done in a single, 30 minute long podcast. Instead they make it about 50% of the way down the state, and will pick up where they left off next week.
Also, if Dr. Dre and the estate of 2pac could not sue us for our music choice, that would be cool.

Suggested Pairing: A nice Chianti (prefereably without someone's liver)
Today we take our first step into the "old world" of wine.... only to realize that is a VERY confusing place. Turns out Italy has their own regions, AND their own varitals. WOOF!
Needless to say, a little education in this department was much needed.
Be sure to stick around for the part where I literally make up my own wine varietal when my dad asks me a question.

Suggest pairing: Any wine (that you can afford) from Napa Valley, California
Oh jeez, we got quite an episode today. My dad references both Stranger Things and The Grateful Dead, and I make a fool of myself, re: "Can you see the ocean from Napa Valley?"
